Michael (Mike) Warren Krost (71) was born August 18th, 1949, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN.
He went home to be with Jesus on February 9th, 2021, at 4:56 am in Indianapolis, IN, at Community South Hospital. Mike graduated from Harry E. Wood High School in 1968. He worked at Rand McNally in 1971 and retired from there in 1995.
Mike met his wife Roberta (Bobbie) while working at Rand McNally in 1980. They were married on April 17th, 1982, at Tallwood Chapel in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mike and Bobbie had two children. Daughter, Amber Dawn Krost (Hutcherson) and son, Dusten Michael Krost.
Mike jumped at the chance to travel. He was adventurous and loved to ride on his motorcycle. Mike also loved to try new places to eat and would go out at a moment’s notice. Mike was a sports fan. He loved Nascar and catching any local demolition derby. He loved football. His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and anyone playing against New England.
Mike accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2003. Mike loved Jesus and his church family. He attended the Lighthouse Community Church, and he loved his summer job of cutting grass and breaking the lawnmower. Mike’s favorite Christian song was I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me.
Mike was known for his smile and his laugh. He was a hard worker, and he made himself available if anyone needed help. Mike loved his grandkids and his family. He loved Dachshunds. His favorite dogs we Kathy, Ginger, and his current dog, Hanna.
Mike is preceded in death by Oscar Warren Krost (Father), Virginia Ruth (Malone) Krost (Mother), Cecilia Kay Krost (Sister). He is also preceded by two grandchildren.
Mike is survived by Roberta (Calbert) Krost (Wife), Amber (Coy) (Krost) Hutcherson (Daughter), Dusten Krost (Son), as well as at least twelve grandkids and many nieces and nephews.
