Mary Catherine Lotti

Mary Catherine Durrett Lotti 77, completed her journey on this earth on January 13, 2023. She was born on June 21, 1945, in Martinsville, IN to Bill and Mary (Schnaiter) Durrett. Mary Catherine was a graduate of Martinsville High School in 1963 and graduated from Ball State University in 1967 with a degree in Elementary Education. She received a masters degree in Early Childhood Education from IUPUI. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Mary Catherine taught a total of 27 years in elementary education, pre-school, and at the college level. Her years of teaching taught her that she learned as much from her students as they did from her. Mary Catherine is survived by her loving husband of (54) years Michael J. Lotti, sons Joseph (Beth) Lotti, and Patrick (Melissa) Lotti, grandchildren Mallory, Michael, Christopher Lotti, brother Rob (Deanna) Durrett. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary Catherine was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she was active in several ministries for more than forty-eight years. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Heart, 5692 Central Avenue, Indianapolis at 11am on Wednesday, January 18th with visitation one hour prior to mass. There will be a gathering to honor Mary Catherine's life immediately following the funeral at The Riviera Club, 5640 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis.
