Margaret Ann Keaton

Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Christopher ”Bruce” Keaton, and her sister, Mona. She is survived by her son, Christopher Ray James Keaton Jr.; her daughter, Alex Layton; her cherished grandsons, Salem and Rune; and her daughter-in-law, Gail Savage. She also leaves behind countless lifelong friends, extended family members, students, and admirers who were touched by her vibrant spirit.

Margaret excelled in every facet of her life. Whether it was academics, her time as a trainer of professional cheerleaders , or the dedication she poured into authoring her book, she approached all endeavors with passion and determination. Her interests were as diverse as they were unique—she found joy in singing and dancing, family fun nights, being a Doberman lover , exploring criminal psychology, traveling to Bermuda, and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Above all else, Margaret’s greatest joy came from being “Grammy” to her treasured grandchildren.

Her impact on those around her is immeasurable. Margaret’s warmth and energy brought people together and inspired everyone she met to embrace life fully. Though words cannot capture the depth of our loss, we find comfort in the memories she created and the lessons she imparted.

If there is one thing Margaret would want us to remember, it is to have fun and live life with joy and authenticity.

Margaret's visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM., with a service immediately to follow at 3:00 at Little and Sons Indianapolis: 4901 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237.

May Margaret’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her while she is now resting with Jesus.
