Larry Johnson, Sr.
10 June, 1948 – 1 September, 2012

On June 10, 1948, God blessed Willie Lee and Arelillian Johnson with
their second child, Larry. Larry was born in Osceola, Arkansas.
Larry was baptized and served on the Usher Board of Mt. Pleasant
Baptist Church in Osceola, Arkansas.
Larry was employed by General Motors VA Plant in Flint, Michigan.
He was also employed as Custodian by General Hospital in Indianapolis,
Indiana and by the Indianapolis Airport in the luggage department from
where he retired.
Larry loved family reunions, family gatherings, especially on the
holidays, and helping others. Larry was a meticulous dresser and had a
zest for life. Larry was dedicated to have you smiling at all times. Larry
was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend, who will
be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Larry Johnson, Sr. departed this life on Saturday, September 1,
2012 at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie
Lee Johnson; brothers, Willie L. Johnson, Jr. and Randy Jay Johnson;
and son, Derrick Lee Johnson.
Larry will be missed by his children, Rose Mary Brandy, Auspria
Johnson Knowles (Richard), Arelillian Rebecca Taylor, Timothy Johnson,
Larry Johnson, Jr. 1st (Karen), and Larry Johnson, Jr. 2nd; mother,
Arelillian Johnson; sisters, Arnice Mason, Gloria Moore (Tyrone), Ethel
Mae Miller (Larry), and Mavis Perry (Richard); brothers, Oliver Johnson
(Early Mae), Lee Morris Johnson (Katie), Lawrence Johnson, Michael
Johnson (Sandy) and Marcus Johnson; grandchildren, John Moore, Jr.,
Siedah J. Munerlyn, Raven Knowles, Richard Knowles III, Derissa
Johnson, Derrick Lee Johnson, Jr. Tara Lynn Johnson, and Larry Johnson and a host of relatives and friends. Service will be held at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home~Peoples Chapel Sat. Sept. 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Calling from 9:00 a.m. Burial: New Crown Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.
