Kewanna Lathay Moss

Kewanna LaThay Moss was born on June 10, 1971, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Clayton and Evelyn Moss.
Kewanna received her elementary education at Harcourt Elementary and graduated from North Central High School in 1989. After graduation, Kewanna was hired as the nanny for the children of former Colts football player, Ray Donaldson, until 1991. Kewanna soon after landed herself a career with Chase Bank where she was employed for thirty years. Kewanna’s last position held was Chase Commercial Bank Associate Account Manager 1 which she was promoted due to her hard work and dedication.
Kewanna was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Nellie M. Strong Chapter #59 PHA Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2023, Kewanna became an honorary member of her daughter and son-in-law’s car club, where she enjoyed attending car events, donating, and giving back to the community.
Kewanna was a very ambitious, courageous, compassionate, resilient, funny, persistent, loving, and loyal person. Kewanna enjoyed dancing, cooking, traveling, singing karaoke (favorite song: “Endless Love”), playing cards, and spending time with family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clayton Moss. Kewanna departed this earthly life on July 17, 2024, at the age of 53 years 1 month and 7 days.
Kewanna leaves to cherish her memory: Soulmate/Fiancé, Decota J. Price; Mother, Evelyn M. Moss; Parents-in-law, William and Carolyn Barnes; Sisters, Tonderlaria “Tudie’’ Jones and Tameka L. Moss; Daughter, Velensia L. (Anthony Jr.) Brooks; Sons, Kavon L. (Nadeane) Moss, Kynan O. McCrackin, Kayto O. McCrackin; Granddaughters, Ny’Vea L. Brooks and Zuriah R. McCrackin; Grandsons, Kaizen R. Moss, Dewayne J. Brooks, Messiah A. Brooks, Lamont D. Brooks, Anthony D. Brooks III; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
Family & friends will be gathering for Kewanna on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
