Ken Eddie Bell
79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 20, 2011. He was born in Bicknell, IN to Charles and Frances (Hacket) Bell.
Ken graduated from Bicknell H.S. in 1950 and went to I.U. on a football scholarship. After 1 year, the football coach from Wabash College induced him to come to Wabash. During his junior year at Wabash, he married his high school sweetheart, Sue Ann Conrad and they went on to have 3 daughters.
Ken served 2 years in the Marine Corps (Captain). He then went to work for Shell Oil Co. and the family moved to Chicago. While in Chicago, Ken became self-employed as a marketing consultant.
Ken is survived by his daughters Karen Leffel, Kathie Witman and Kristen Noble; grandchildren: Bert, Ken and Dean Leffel, Lacy Marsh, Lee and Anne Noble; great-grandchildren John and Cadence Leffel and Clayton Marsh He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances Bell and brothers Max and Dennis Bell.
A celebration of Ken’s life and time to share stories will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 East 71st St., Indianapolis. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Condolences may be offered at feeneyhornakkeystone.com.
