Kathleen Louise Deery Hartnett ,
Passed away November 26, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born June 3, 1923 in Indianapolis to the late James Edward Deery and Mabel Margaret (Smith) Deery. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy and attended St. Mary's of the Woods College. Kathleen was employed at Indianapolis Life Insurance Company before she was married. She married John Joseph Hartnett in 1957 and they were blessed with four children, Jane Henry (Gary Mayo), Nancy Mynatt (Greg West), Daniel Joseph Hartnett and Eileen Schlegel (Gerry Schlegel). She also had four grandchildren, Nicholas Mynatt (Kay Lee Robbins Mynatt), Laura Henry, John Schlegel, and Aly Eileen Hartnett, who died at birth. John passed away in 1994. Three siblings also preceded her in death, Josephine Harvey, Mary Anne Quatman and James Edward Deery, Jr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Teresa Schaeffer, her personal physician, and her staff. Dr. Anuj Agarwala and his staff at the Community Regional Cancer Care. All of her friends and staff at Crestwood Village Assisted Living, her residence for the last 15 years. And the exceptional care she received at Rosewalk Village of Indianapolis during her last days. Visitation for Kathleen will be from 10 am – 12 pm on Wednesday, December 2nd at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment follows at Holy Cross Cemetery. IN lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or St. Mary's of the Wood College.
