Juanita Dora Carter- Ewing, 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on June 4, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Juanita was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roy and Margaret Carter on April 14, 1937. At an early age, Juanita received Christ in her life and was baptized at St. John A.M.E. Church, where she was a faithful, dedicated, member. Juanita was a Stewardess, Sunday school teacher and a Class Leader and she was an officer in the Lay Organization and the Women’s Missionary Society and on the Steward Board.
Juanita went to Indianapolis Public School #26 and went to Arsenal Technical High School. After high school she chose her career path early and aspired to achieve that dream. She went on to Ball State Teacher’s College in Muncie, IN. While in college, she pledged and became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha in 1957 and was last active with Alpha Mu Omega.
In later years Juanita became a charter member of Key Women of America, Inc. Indianapolis Branch, and served as the first President of the organization for two terms.
Juanita married Frederick Ewing on November 5, 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Frederick Ewing, her mother and father Roy and Margaret Carter, and brother, Raymond Carter.
Juanita leaves to cherish her sister Beverly G. Riggins (Donald) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews and Cousins and Family and Lifelong Friends.
