Joyce Marie Nolan, age 84, passed away on Thursday July 4th , 2019. Joyce was born on December 29th, 1934 to the late Marie Watson and Hubert Watson in Bryan ,Ohio. Joyce is also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Nolan. Joyce spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and volunteer in Greenville and Dayton, Ohio and Destin, Florida. She raised her family in the Kettering, Ohio area before spending her retirement years in Destin, Florida. She was an active volunteer with Children’s Medical Center and League of Women Voters in Dayton, along with The Sacred Heart Hospital in Destin, Florida. Joyce was a 30 year member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Miramar Beach, Florida. She most recently was a resident at Westminster Village North Senior Living in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since moving to Indianapolis she was also a member of Saint Simon the Apostle Church in Indianapolis.
She is survived by her three sons and daughter- in- laws: Michael and Debra Lecklider, Indianapolis, In; Timothy and Sharon Lecklider, Dublin, Oh; Jeffrey and Teena Lecklider, Springboro, Oh; step-sons and wives, Kevin and Caroline Nolan, Dayton, Oh; Brian and Marilyn Nolan, Kettering, Oh ;Tim and Mary Nolan, Centerville, Oh; Sean and Louise Nolan, Noblesville, In: and step-daughter Sheila Gartland, Powell, Oh. She also leaves 43 loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great ,great grand children. She is also survived by her brother Phillip Watson of Troy, Oh.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Simon the Apostle Church, 8155 Oaklandon Rd., Indianapolis on Wednesday, August 7, at 11:00 am.
A reception for residents at Westminster Village North will take place on August 7, 2019 at 2:00pm.
An additional Memorial Mass will take place at Resurrection Catholic Church in Miramar Beach, Florida on September 7, 2019 at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations in Joyce's honor can be made to Resurrection Catholic Church, 259 Miramar Beach Drive, Miramar, Fl. 32550.
