Joyce Ann Clark

Joyce Ann Clark, 81, of Danville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born on March 31, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Earl Spegal and Marie Goger Spegal Lawson. On November 3, 1962, Joyce was united in marriage to Jimmie R. Clark. They had four children; Donna, John, Dawn, and Deana. Joyce spent many of her years as a housewife working in her home caring for children, including her own until they were grown. Joyce then worked outside her home to care for the children of local physicians. Joyce enjoyed family life, church, and her Schnauzers. Faith, prayer, and family were at the center of her life. She was a long-time member of Abundant Life - The House of Mercy in Danville, Indiana. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Earl and Alfred Spegal, and her sisters, Dorothy Spegal, Sharon Imel, Mary Glover, Beverly Stepp and son-in-law Sonny Garrett. Joyce will be deeply missed by her husband, Jimmie R. Clark, children, Donna (Dan) Clark-Parker of Indianapolis, John (Nikki) Mansfield of Plainfield, Dawn Garrett of Martinsville, and Deana (Steve) Applegate of Gosport. 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Spegal of Indianapolis. The family would like to thank the staff at the IU Health Methodist Hospice for their compassionate care.
