Joni Marie Craner

Joni Marie Craner, age 67, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The beloved spouse of Susan Robinson, she was loved by many and will leave a huge hole in countless lives. She was a lifelong animal lover and always had a dog or two at her side. Born in Phoenixville, PA, she moved to Bloomington to attend Indiana University. She held education the highest regard. She diligently earned 3 Masters Degrees. She had a Masters of Divinity, an MBA, and a Masters of Computer Technology. She graduated from Eastern College, Indiana University, and Indiana Wesleyan. She owned her own computer software company in Bloomington for many years. She sold that company and moved to indianapolis after accepting a position as trainer with Eli Lilly. After her retirement, she worked at several jobs "for fun" just to keep busy. She was a devout Christian and loved her church, LifeJourney, in Indianapolis and was an avid student of the Bible.

Joni was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Craner Shaner, her father John Craner, stepfather, Richard Shaner, sister Gail, and dear nephew John Craner. She is survived by her loving spouse Susan Robinson, her sister Pat Callow, brother John Craner (Missy), sister Sharon Doms (Steve), sister Robin Bortz (Dave) and sister Brenda Gallo (John), and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by several step sisters and a step brother. She will be greatly missed by her little loves, her Shih Tzus Sophie and Holly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the church, LifeJourney 2950 E. 55th October 26, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.
