Family of Doug Ingersoll you have my Sympathy for the loss of Doug !  I lived next door to the family in Montpelier Indiana from  1962 to 1964 .  He was a busy teen at the time .  His mother Jan painted my Senior Cords !  Great art work ! I am proud that he was a great Father and Family man. You  have many great memories that you can carry with you for all time .

I know it says “add a memory” but I can’t pick and I have many memories with my papaw. Some of my fondest are when we all would go bowling together. I was never the best “bowler”, but it was always so much fun and it was truly family time that I cherished. Another one is the annual Indiana State Fair. We would all go and see the animals (+ the giant beast of a pig w/ huge… iykyk) and I am pretty sure that was one of Papaw’s favorite parts, the animals in general,  (behind the pineapple whip). Every state fair day would always start with a pony ride, and then to close the day we would all be treated with a pineapple whip, truly a staple in all of our trips and that “tradition” is centered around my papaw. The state fair was one of those things that we did every year as a family since Jack, Mia, and I were very very little. And as often as we all could, we would take Saturday afternoon trips to Eagle Creek. Those days were full of fun and quality time. We would eat lunch, go on hikes, play games, go visit the nature center, go to the park, and one time we got to go paddle boating (majority of us ended up with cramps in our legs). And then something that was a “signature” to my papaw was his camera. He was always recording everything. If he was around, most likely you’d catch his video recorder in his hands. All of these traditions and memories truly revolved solely around my papaw, he was the glue. He meant so much to me and to our family. He loved us all so much and I loved him so much too. -Ava Ingersoll 

My papaw was a very strong person and he was my role model growing up, he would always teach me life lessons on how to cook, make my bed, and how to do my own laundry. He taught me how to play guitar and taught me how to throw a baseball, he always was my biggest fan, he would come to all my games and would be the best assistant coach to all the kids. We would always shadow box and he would always beat me at basketball, his best was the “pop a shot” always loved that move. - Jackson, Grandson.
