Jerome Scott Lane,
61, of Indianapolis, departed this life, Thursday, October 23, 2014. Scott was born January 11, 1953 in Indianapolis. He was an outstanding salesman for Cintas Corporation for 23 years. Scott always went above and beyond to help his customers. He attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and enjoyed NCAA Tournament basketball and all things Notre Dame. He and “his girl” Carol, loved traveling the National Parks of the West, and have especially fond memories of the Tucson, AZ area. Those who knew him agree: “Scott always left you with a smile on your face”. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Carol Ann (Rebennack) Lane; step-son, Lewis McCane, III; siblings, Phil (Mary Frances Campbell) Lane, Gary (Alison) Lane and D.Dee Gavaghan; brothers-in-law, Richard, Dale, Roger and Russell Rebennack and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be from 4 – 8pm on Tuesday at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Funeral services begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday at the mortuary, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Wheeler Mission.
