Mr. Jeremiah "Jerry" Scott was one of nine children born to the late Eugene and Minnie Scott on November 25, 1936 In Brownsville, Tennessee. He attended Rosenwald and J.W. Million Schools in Earlington/Providence, Kentucky. Jerry was united with the love of his life Arline. They were married for 57 years. There was one child born during this union, Jeffrey Scott. Jerry had a son from a previous marriage, Kerry Scott. Jerry was employed with Chrylser for over 30 years.
Jerry departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2021 at the age of 84 years, two months and 24 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Minnie Scott, two brothers: John Bennett (JB), Corbert Scott, three sisters: Claudia Smith, Mary Louise Hampton, Atlene Tolbert.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, his wife Rebecca Aline Short-Scott, two sons Kerry (Katrina) Scott, Jeffrey (Everne) Scott, two sisters Carolyn Hopper and Rhoda Smyzer and one brother Myron (Betty) Scott. Grandchildren; Jeremy (Crystal) Scott, Treg (Alaysha) Scott, Shaddai and Elysia; five great grandchildren; MJ, Quintin, Zaylee, Tavin, Trulie and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
