James “J.D.” Dwyer,
59, Indianapolis, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Roudebush VAMC. He was born February 16, 1951 to Edmund and Frances (Bretthauer) Dwyer. Jim is survived by his brother, Joseph (Brenda) Dwyer; sisters, Ann (Larry) Sharp, Michaela (Lynn) Kendall and Eileen (Steve) Marrow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Shelly Sharp. Jim was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and a graduate of St. Philip Neri and Cathedral High School. He was an avid reader, crossword puzzle solver, card player, golfer and keeper of obscure facts. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. There will be no formal funeral service, but a celebration of his life from 2 – 6 PM Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary with a time for remembrance at 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Leukemia Lymphoma Society, The American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered at www.feeneyhornakshadeland.com.
