James Ephriam Buis

James Ephriam Buis 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. James was born April 27,1929 in Putnam County, Indiana the son of the late James M. and Mary “Lucille” Buis. He will be missed by those who loved him and enjoyed his stories as a Race Horse Owner, Business owner and truck driver. He lived an interesting life, loved his family and friends, playing euchre and watching basketball. James is survived by his daughters: Diana “Sue” (Tom) Potter and Janese Sanchez, grandchildren: Cheryl (Kenny) O'Bold, Laura (Ford) Hebner and Kelly Farber, great grandchildren: Jaclyn (Jeff) Richter, Dustin (Brittany) O'Bold, Jackson, Carson, Kierston and Ireland Hebner great great grandchildren: Marlee & Elias O'Bold and Siblings: Leon Buis and Elnora Overman. He is preceded in death by his wife: Laverne Sansing Baxter, daughter: Karen L. Buis and brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Charles Overman and Marlene Buis. A visitation for James will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 PM. James will be laid to rest in Stilesville Cemetery, 3944 W Co. Rd. 900 S, Stilesville, Indiana 46180.
