Jamain A. Walker

Jamain A. Walker, Sr. was born January 3, 1984 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James Allen Walker, Sr. and Rhonda Lea Walker. He came into this world with an identical twin, Jamelle Walker. He left his world during his afternoon nap on April 28, 2021. He can now rest in peaceful sleep until he is awakened for the opening of the Book of Life.
He lived a full life. He went to Paul I. Miller Elementary School 114. He attended Merle Sidner Middle School 59. He graduated from Broadripple High School with Academic Honors. Jamain was Broadripple High School’s Chess Champion of 2001. He was among the first to attend college with his twin brother, Jamelle, at Purdue University. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor in Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. He was a member of Purdue’s bowling team. He was a well known rapper on campus. He was a musical lyricist. His rap name was JTwin. He produced and starred in multiple albums. While at Purdue University he became a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. He was known as Big Brother Owtlandish. He was involved in multiple activities through his Fraternity to improve the Black community.
After graduating from Purdue University he moved from Lafayette, Indiana back to Indianapolis, Indiana. He acquired a job at Geico Insurance Company where he worked for multiple years. He was an entrepreneur. He ran a catering business. He produced music. He was a fantastic barber.
His joy was his family. He married the love of his life, Jamiel Anne Walker on May 4, 2013. Jamain stated when he saw her, “I found the one! She’s beautiful and God fearing. She’s my perfect Black Queen!” He was a father of 4 beautiful children: Kiarrah Walker, James Walker, Jamain Walker, Jr., and Kiannah Walker. He was excited to be a father. He stated, “The best day of my life was marrying my wife and the second best day was seeing the birth of my kids. The love I have for them is intoxicating!” He was a hard working man that wanted the best for his family. He would do anything anybody asked if it was in his power.
Jamain loved to cook. He was always trying to bring family together for cookouts and family gatherings. Jamain made sure his family always went on vacation at least once a year. He felt that vacating brought his family closer together.
Jamain was a servant of the Lord who wore many hats. He was an active member of Martindale Church of Christ church. He was a Deacon in training. He was involved in multiple church programs: youth ministry, young adults, choir, music ministry, and driving the church van. He was willing and able to do anything that was asked of him.
He had a way of making himself a part of any family. He will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by Danny Walker (uncle), Marjorie Walker (grandmother), William Walker (grandfather), Mildred James (grandmother), Robert Lancaster (grandfather), Michael Vinson (brother-in-law). He leaves behind:

Jamelle’s children: Eucarius Walker, Jasmin Walker, Jazarae Walker, Alina Walker, Anastasia Walker, Israel Walker, Isaiah Walker
Brother and His family: James Walker, Jr. & Carrie Walker (sister-in-law)
James’s children: Eliana Walker, Marcus Walker
Uncles: Micheal James, Larry James, Steve James, Aaron Walker, William Walker, Jr.
Aunts: JoAnn Pardue, Teresa Edmonds, Debra James, Donswella James
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, 12pm at Martindale Church of Christ, 2402 Dr. Andrew J. Brown, with calling hours 10am- 12pm. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
