Gregory "Gar" J. Queisser

Greg was born January 19. 1950 to Herb Queisser and Helen Statz Queisser here in Indianapolis. After a 20year battle with cancer he moved on to his heavenly home on September 12, 2023. Greg is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anne Hilts Queisser. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Kitty Queisser Lantrip, Andy Queisser and Jaime Queisser Cook (David); Grandchildren: Brad Cook, Parker Cook and JJ Cook, Corbin Lantrip, Elizabeth Lantrip, Cameron Lantrip and Collin Lantrip. He is also survived by his mother, Helen Statz Queisser, Brothers: Quentin and Tim Queisser (Cathy) and Sister: Kelly Queisser Forestal as well as nieces and nephews. Greg was a great brother, friend, husband, uncle, co-worker, boss, coach but the one he loved best was dad and most of all Grandpa to the best grandchildren Greg’s personality drew people to him with his constant smile, positive outlook about everything and his infectious laugh. He wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. This was instilled in him early by his father, Herb. He learned well. Greg’s education began with St, Joan of Arc and continuing at Bishop Chatard. He then Graduated from IU with a BS in Business from the IU Business School. He continued into the business world and ended up working for DuBois Chemical, where he sold industrial chemicals for 34 years. He was a salesman, then a manager, missed the sales and went back to selling. All along the way accumulating more friends. He really loved his job, mostly it was the people he worked with he loved. He will be missed for his unconditional love of his family, friends, GOD and life. The family would like to thank the kind, understanding and loving people from Community Hospice for the tremendous help during a difficult time. You are all good people with a beautiful gift. Visitation for Gar will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Road, Carmel, Indiana 46033, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
