90, of Indianapolis, passed away January 15, 2018. He was born February 7, 1927 in Beloit, Wisconsin the son of Marvin and Isabelle Kennedy Steel. George was a graduate of Butler University. He was in retail management working for Wasson’s. He was in the U.S. Navy, a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and Sigma Chi Fraternity. George is preceded in death by his beloved wife Doris G. Carey Steel. He is survived by his son Chris (Susie) Steel, grandchild Hope Steel. A Celebration of George’s life will be Sunday, January 28 at 3 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary with visitation starting at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sigma Chi Fraternity Foundation or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
