George N Holt

George Norman Holt, Sr., 92, of Indianapolis, passed away March 29, 2020. He was born on August 29, 1927 to the late Herbert and Goldie Mae (Arbuckle) Holt. George was a veteran of the US Navy and served in World War II. He married Ruth Loftus in 1950 and they were married for 49 years when Ruth passed away in 2000. George retired from the Indianapolis Star and News after 47 years of service. He is survived by his children, Debbie McKay, Connie (Joe) Parris, Diane (Tom) McKay, Tina (Mark) Hartley and George (Christine) Holt, Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. George lived his life to the fullest and the family will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
