In checking on my workmates at the Indianapolis Star I find that dear George passed a few days after my Mother. George was always very kind to me and though he was my foreman I counted him as my friend. I first met him in 1971 and he was always at the top of the list of people I worked for.
May God rest his dear soul and grant him peace where there is no sorrowing or sighing but life everlasting.

          I wonder if I thanked him enough for all he ever done.
           Through all the good and bad times and especially for all the fun.

             For all the things he taught me he 
left his mark on me. 
              He’ll never be forgotten for l’m sure you all can see.

               For all of your listening and all of your advice .
               I’m sure I didn’t believe at the time it would turn out so nice.

              If I forgot anything I’m sure he will 
Understand.
             Because he knows I loved him and
I’m his proudest fan. 

              He excepted his ending, he knew it was time to go.
              But if I could have changed things 
the answer would have been NO!

One of the most genuinely wonderful people I have ever met. Blessed to have gotten to meet him through the love he had for his grandson's. Praying for the family and extended family he had at the ballpark

Awesome Man, Loved talking with him at all the games of softball George and Nick were at and I was a teammate with them.
He had a lot of stories! He will definitely be missed!

He was one of the sweetest nicest man I know, he always greeted  all of us who were friends of Debbie's like family.Always a delight to be around.  Loved his family and loved life.  Sooo  MANY STORIES WILL BE TOLD WITH FONDEST LOVE AND JOY.  yOU EARNED A GOOD REST and YOU'LL BE MISSED BY MANY

I grew up as an honorary Holt member. George and Ruth treated me like one of their own; both will always hold a special place in my heart. Debbie, Connie, Diane, George and my childhood best friend Tina, I send my deepest condolences. May we all live a full and happy life like Norman! 

Thank you to all that touched dads life.  He was a very special man and still lives on in his children grandchildren and everyone that got a chance to know him. 
He is now reunited with his parents his 2 sisters, 4 brothers and Ruth is wife
Dad took dance lesson in January of this year because he wanted to learn how to dance, he can now  use is dance moves and dance with mom in heaven.
Dad.. I hope you dance. I Hope You Dance!!!


George recruited me into the electric shop at the Indianapolis Star in 1985.  He was a pleasure to work for, always fair and upbeat.  Loved listening to his stories, he had a few.  My condolences to the family.

George Holt was a neat guy.  He always had time to talk and always treated me in a nice way.
