Evelyn Miller

Evelyn was born on June 7, 1925 in Blacksberry, Kentucky to Zella Wilburn. She started her schooling in Blacksberry, but later moved to Indianapolis, IN where she graduated from Attucks High School. After graduation she worked for RCA and then met and married the love of her life, Reuben Miller. Evelyn and Reuben were married October 13, 1946 and have been happily married for 76 years.

Evelyn was a devoted member of Christ Temple, where she was baptized in Jesus name and was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1949. She taught Sunday School and was a noonday prayer warrior and was one of the sisters that visited the sick and shut in on a weekly basis. She had a deep love for the Lord and for her church until her health did not allow her to come out to the house of the Lord any more.

Evelyn departed this life on the afternoon of December 17, 2020. She was proceeded in death by her four brothers James Reed, John Reed, Maceo “Boat” Tooley, Ervin Tooley, and her sister Irene Tooley.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Reuben, her brother Roger Tooley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and the entire Christ Temple family.
