Mrs. Eunice (Dean) Griffin was born July 29, 1928 in Holly Ridge, Louisiana to the late Anderson Dean and Ethel (Franklin) Dean. She accepted Christ at an early age and professed her love for Christ continuously throughout her life.
Upon moving to Indianapolis in 1944, she had 2 daughters, Ruby Jane Smith and Osa "Mickie" Ford. She met Earl Lee Griffin Jr. in 1944 and married March 4, 1950. Of this union 7 children were born. She served as a faithful member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church.
Eunice spent her life as a homemaker taking care of her family. She loved to cook (especially the way she'd twisted her lips when she'd beat eggs) and had to many famous dishes to name. She loved talking on the phone with her nieces, Juanita, Everlener, Bobbie and Sadie. Her favorite past time was fishing. She enjoyed doing WordSearch puzzles, bowling, playing Dominoes and Phase 10.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, eldest daughter, Ruby Jane Smith and son, Walter Griffin.
Eunice Griffin departed this life at the age of 91 on September 25, 2019 at home surrounded by her fami-ly. She leaves to cherish her memory loving husband of 69 years, Earl Lee Griffin Jr., 5 sons, Earl III, Curlee (Dee), Kenneth, Tommie, and Steven; 2 daughters, Osa Ford and Sylvia Griffin; Step daughter, Eloise Moore (Phillip); host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grand-children, nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.
