99 of Indianapolis passed away on August 10, 2018. She was born April 5, 1919 in Marion to Frank and Lydia Sample. She spent over 60 years with her loving husband, Van Richardson. Esther attended Marion High School and graduated from, International Barber and Beauty school. She was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Serving during World War II. She retired from Mayflower Moving and Storage after 17 years.
Esther was a member of the Central Wesleyan Church. Survivors include, her husband, Van Richardson; sister, Mary Ruth Baker; brother, James Sample (Judith) of North Webster, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leroy (Bud) Sample; sister, Virginia Patton and Marjorie Carmichael.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm with funeral service at 12:00pm Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Crown Hill Funeral Home 700 W. 38th St. Indianapolis. Burial will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery.
