Ernest "Ernie" N. Simons

Ernie graduated from Purdue University in the class of 1966. He was recruited by General Electric out of college as an electrical engineer. He worked for GE in New York, North Carolina, Colorado, Danville, IL and finally in Indianapolis where he lived for 45 years.

Ernie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann L. Simons; his son Hew Simons (Jan); his brother Leon Simons; his stepson Michael Brinksneader (Mie). Ernie also leaves grandchildren Kyle and Kayln Dickson and Alex and Sean Brinksneader and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life visitation for Ernie will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Leppert Mortuary – Nora, 740 East 86th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. Please dress in your Purdue or casual attire.
