E. David "Lucky" Lashbrook, Jr. 67, of Indianapolis, died November 25, 2010. He was born June 28, 1943 in Lebanon, Missouri, and was raised in Rensselaer, IN by parents, Elmer David and Una M. (Meyer) Lashbrook. He was very proud of lettering in track at Rensselaer High School. He attended mortuary college and was a funeral director for 40 years, most known for his dedicated service at Conkle Funeral Homes and Feeney-Hornak Mortuaries, retiring in 2008. He took great pride in knowing he comforted numerous families through his sensitive and respectful way of helping them come to terms with the loss of their loved ones. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynn E. (Mulcahy) Lashbrook. He is survived by his children, David Lashbrook, Kimberly (Bret) Robinson; brother, Ronald B. (Marlene) Lashbrook; grandsons, Ronald and Joshua Lashbrook; nieces, Dana Lashbrook-Fields (Byron) and Angie Lashbrook-Ringen (Dan); several step-children and step-grandchildren, and his devoted dogs, Biggins and Clifford. David was an avid Nascar fan, and enjoyed spending time with his friends in Ravenswood and at Rookie's. David's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 1 p.m. in Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 East 71st St., with the family receiving friends from Noon to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Yellow Rose Unit of Clarian Hospice. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary.
