Donald Holder

Mr. Donald Holder, the second of five children born to Mallie A. Wright Holder and Cornelius W. Holder Sr, was born on January 16th, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended and graduated North Central High School in 1972, and attended Marion University. Donald professed his life to Christ at an early age, being baptized at and a faithful member of Saint John's Missionary Baptist Church. He married Sharon E. Holder in February of 1978 and had two children Donald N. Holder and Ashley D. Holder. Donald was employed by the United States Postal Service and from there he pursued a career in trucking. If you know Donald, you knew him by either DH, Big Don, or Uncle Don. As we all know, Donald had a caring and kind soul, his smile was infectious, and he was always there to give you the best joke ever! Donald was the best father, not to only his children, but to so many of his children's friends and teammates. One thing that was most important to Donald, was his family. He absolutely adored his children and grandchildren. A great teacher, he was always contributing to the benefit of his children and grandchildren. Ever attentive and always present, they could always count on him and vice versa. Even when he was on the road, he had his family with him, especially Ryland, London and Sharon. We all have many fond and endearing memories of Donald, and we as a family ask you to always keep them close to your hearts! Donald Holder departed this life on Thursday, December 17,2020 at the age of sixty-four years, eleven months, and one day. Donald was preceded in death by his mother and father Cornelius W. Holder Sr. and Mallie A. Wright Holder. Also his dear niece Priscilla M. Holder. He leaves to cherish his loving memory by his best friend and life partner Sharon E. Holder; children Donald N. Holder and Ashley D. Holder; Brothers, Cornelius W. Holder Jr; Herbert Holder; Sisters, Renee A. Brady, Sharon K. Holder; grandchildren, Tailore C. Holder, Ryland N. Baker, Amyah C. Bynum, Aris K. Holder, London L. Beaco; Nieces, Jessica L. Holder, Angela M. Holder, India K. Holder, Kristen R. Holder, Kelli M. Brady; Nephews, Kenneth A. Brady, Quentin R. Jones, Malchi Jones, daughter-in-law Jazmin Holder; sister-in-law Wanda R. Holder; Richard and Mildred Thurman, the Dullen Family, the Wright Family, and a host of cousins, relatives and close friends.
