He was born on January 16, 1941, in Indianapolis, IN, as the son of William A. and Elenora (Clark) Kessler. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School and the I.B.E.W Local 481 Electrical apprenticeship.
He was a loving husband of 62 years, a father, a grandfather. He was a construction electrician for 43 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and travelling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Kessler of Carmel; daughter, Tracy (William) Drury of Milad City, ID; son, David (Cynthia Ulmer) Kessler Jr. of Greenfield, IN; daughter, Margo (Mark) Eageny of Plainfield, IN; daughter Vicki (Eugene) Lambert of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine (Stephen) Federle of Brooksville, FL; and brother, William L. Kessler of Brooksville, FL.
He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church; I.B.E.W. Local #481 Electrical Union; Eden Masonic Lodge; Eden Eastern Star; Scottish Rite; Murat Shriners, and Greenfield York Rite.
A visitation for David will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 4780 E. 126th Street, Carmel, IN. A memorial service will occur Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
His remains will be at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
