Daniel L Griswold (Dan), 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on 8/5/2020, of complications of Covid-19 at the R.L.Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis.
Dan was born in Indianapolis to Harry L and Mary L Griswold. He graduated from Brownsburg High School. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War and served in the Army 4th Infantry. He worked as a Route Salesman for Pepsi and subsequently retired from there.
Dan's hobbies included his beloved MGB sports cars. He was a member and past president of the Hoosier MGB's, member of the Hoosier A's and Old Octagons. Past member of the Indiana British Car Union. Dan enjoyed Car Shows, traveling the U.S., slot machines and visiting with car club friends.
Dan was preceded in death by father Harry L Griswold, mother Mary L Griswold, sister Barbara Powell and brother David Griswold.
Dan is survived by wife LouAnn Broderick-Griswold, sons Marcus L. Griswold (Yoko), Jason Griswold, daughter Johanna Shamp (Eric), 9 grandchildren and nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and In-Laws.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a private graveside service and burial will be held at the Field of Valor Veteran's Section at Crown Hill Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donors Charity of choice.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the many ICU Doctors, nurses, Palliative Care Team, Specialists, Social Workers and support staff at the R.L.Roudebush VA Medical Center for their care and support during this difficult time. Please wear a mask, social distance and wash your hands.
