Christine "Cricket" West

Christine Marie Daye West, also known as: Chris, Mama, and Cricket, was born August 25, 1954 in Ripley, TN to the late Joseph and Eddy Daye. Christine was the sixth of eight children. She attended public school here in Indianapolis and graduated from Harry E. Wood High School. Christine worked at Embassy Suites Hotel twelve years and later worked at Community North Hospital for eleven years before her retirement. Christine married the love of her life, Gregory Eugene West. From their union was one son, Jammie Lee West. Jammie was her pride and joy. Christine had a strong relationship with her savior, Jesus Christ. She was loved by many. She loved spending time with her family. If you met her, you would have loved her. Christine had a huge heart. She helped anyone that she could. She was a very caring and loving woman. Christine went home to be with her Lord on December 20, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eddy Daye; sister, Jean Daye; brother, Joseph “Hambone” Daye (Donna). Christine leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Gregory E. West; son, Jammie L. West (Miesha); two bonus daughters, Sirena L. West and Shameika L. West; brothers, Ben Daye, James Daye, and Charlie Daye; sisters, Dorothy Daye-Green (Milton) and Katie Daye; granddaughters, Jammicia, Jediah, and Lil Jammie; three great grandsons; brother-in-law, Steve Rouse of Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
