Christine was born in Louise, Mississippi to Eugene Steward Sr. and Lulla Belle Steward on June 7, 1945. She went to Yazoo City High School in Yazoo City, Mississippi.
She married Eddie Charles Lee on November 17, 1973, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as a Phlebotomist at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis for 22 years. She was gleefully and committed to the Sisterhood of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
Christine is preceded in death by her father: Eugene Steward Sr. and mother, Lulla Belle Steward; brothers, Eugene Steward Jr. and George Steward; sons, Dirran Jerome Lee and Vincent Keith Lewis, daughter, Elke Annjanette Lee.
Christine is survived by her husband, Eddie Charles Lee, daughter, Sonji Felicia Lee- Rambert (William) of Boston, Massachusetts; son, Eldridge Leonard Lee; sister-in-law, Eddie Jean Rayford of Arkansas; brother-in-law West Johnson (Cathy) of Indianapolis, Indiana; 1st cousin, Robert and Arleana Reed of Ypsilanti, Michigan, 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm, December 20, 2024, at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 5111 W. 62nd St., Indianapolis, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at noon on December 20, 2024, at, Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael S. Johnson of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.
