Charles "Lil Jimmy" Cook, son of Charles S. Cook and Betty J. Cook, was born on February 16, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools and was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School.
"Lil Jimmy" as he was better known by his family and friends, professed a hope in Christ at an early age. "Lil Jimmy" enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1979 and proudly served his country.
On March 5, 1992, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Marian Johnson. To this union, one child was born, Kelly L. Cook - the love of Lil Jimmy's life.
"Lil Jimmy" was the life of every party and loved to dance. He was an avid sports fan - loving the Indianapolis Pacers, Colts and Purdue University football.
"Lil Jimmy" departed this life on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the age of 61. His father, Charles S. Cook; mother, Betty J. Cook, and brother Derrick Cook, preceded him in death.
"Lil Jimmy" leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marian Cook; daughter Kelly L. Cook; four sisters, Donna Pugh (Charles, deceased), Stephanie Braswell (Larry), Roxanne Cook, Tracy Pruitt (Dale); three brothers Jeffrey, Steven and Kevin Cook; god-daughter Tamia Phillips; god-granddaughters Tania and Brayana Long and Anijah Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves to cherish his memory his three best friends, Earl Tardy, Sr., Doug Clark and Eddie Manuel.
