Carol J. Vrabel

Carol Jane Vrabel 67, passed away on January 12, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis, IN and located to Lake County, Indiana in 1990. Carol met and married Michael Vrabel in 1991, who precedes her in death. She relocated back to Indianapolis after retiring from AT&T after 35 years of service.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marjorie McCauley, sisters; Valorie Engel, Nancy Bohman and Kathleen Slaybaugh.

She is survived by her children Marci (Alasdair) Kay, and Matthew Vrabel, grandson Isaac Kay, siblings; Raymond (Mary Kay) McCauley, Timothy McCauley (Nancy Marino), J. Patrick (Connie) McCauley, Suzy (Glenn) Kern, Elizabeth (James) Cordell, brothers-in-law; Eugene Engel and James Bohman and 22 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Crown Hill Funeral Home Gothic Chapel, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, with visitation from 11 a.m.

A visitation for Carol will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery in the Gothic Chapel, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
