Bridget E Mattz

Bridget (Campbell) Mattz of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday May 23, 2024, aged 90. Bridget was born on May 4, 1934, in Meenbuoy, Kilcar, Co. Donegal, Ireland, to parents Peter Campbell and Mary Ann (Fawcett) Campbell. Bridget married John P. (Jack) Mattz in 1958 and was a devoted and loving wife to Jack for 52 years. Bridget had a career at RCA for 31 years as a Quality Controller, before retiring in 1991. Bridget was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and St. Simon Catholic Church, and the Women’s Auxiliary A.O.H. Bridget is preceded in death by her parents: Peter Campbell and Mary Ann (Fawcett) Campbell; husband John P. (Jack) Mattz; brothers, Peter, Thomas, John, Joseph, James, Daniel, Patrick, and Frank Campbell; and sisters Mary (Campbell) Peat and Winifred (Campbell) Patterson. Bridget is survived by her nephew, Peter Patterson, and her many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews overseas. A visitation will take place on Friday June 14, 2024, from 10AM–11AM at St. Simon Catholic Church, 8155 Oaklandon Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236. A Funeral Mass will then occur at 11AM at St. Simon Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Bridget will then be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
