Bobby J. Crowe was born in Princeton, Kentucky, a town outside of Louisville, Kentucky, to Illene Crowe and Clarence Crowe, on November 9, 1942. He attended the Dr. James M. Bond School after which he immediately enlisted into the United States Army. He worked as a Computer Programmer for Indianapolis Life Insurance Company where he retired after 15 years.
Bobby was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. He was an avid golf player and thoroughly enjoyed the game. He received an Honorable discharge from the US Army.
Bobby Crowe is preceded in death by his mother, Illene Crowe and father, Clarence Crowe, sister Margaret Gunn.
Bobby J. Crowe is survived by daughters, Demetra Gatewood (William Gatewood), and Nicole Crowe, sister, Helen Whaley; Grandchildren, Stefhen Offutt (Katie Offutt), Stacia Crowe, Damone Gatewood, Shawn Gatewood (Caitlin Gatewood), and Nia Crowe; Great-grandchildren, DaMaya Gatewood, Averi Crowe, Evan Offutt, Sofia Offutt, Sydni Bryant, and Braylin Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A visitation for Bobby will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM, with minister William Gatewood of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Dr. June McIntyre, Pastor Thomas Gaines and Rev. Curtis L. Vance attending.
