Banks T. Bradley

Banks Thurston Bradley, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on October 12, 2022 in Fishers, Indiana.
Banks was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Henry Clifton Bradley,and Bertha Thurston Bradley, on July 4,1934. He married Glenda Lee Young on August 26,1956, which he says was the most important event of his life. She brought him a lifetime of happiness and unwavering support.
He completed High School at Hayti, Missouri, a BS in education at Southeast Missouri State University, MA in history at The University of Missouri, and Doctorate of Education at Indiana University. Banks was an Associate Professor in the College of Education at Michigan State University for 25 years.
He was a paratrooper making 16 jumps in the U.S. Army and served in the ready reserve for 7 years. Most of his duty time was with the 320 Airborne Field Artillery Battalion as the Message Center Chief.
He was a longtime member of Gideons International, The Masonic Order and The Eastern Star, as well as several professional organizations during his teaching career. He became a Christian in 1947 and enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Glenda, both parents, brothers, Merle Bradley, Earl Bradley and H.C. Bradley, sisters, Doris Bradley, Nudean Bradley and Nettie Jean Fisher.
He is survived by son Mark (Lisa) Bradley, daughter Terri (Dr. Billy) Parsons, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
