Arthur Michael Slinger

89, of Indianapolis passed away on August 22, 2013. He was born May 15, 1924 in Indianapolis the son of Arthur Matthew and Edith Slinger. Art worked for Burroughs Corporation for 37 years as a field engineer. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, K of C Fatima Council, and the American Bowling Association, a WW II Navy Veteran who had love for fishing. Arthur is survived by his children: Linda Slinger, Michael (Paula) Slinger, Kathleen (Thomas) Tillett, Susan Clemmer; stepchildren: Toni (Ted) Locke, Christine (Larry) Prange, Susan (Ron) Ehgrott, Pierre Lobdell, Nicholas Lobdell, Tina (John) Miller, Donnie (Kelly) Stonebreaker, Randolph Lobdell; sister: Dorothy Hagner, brother: Charles Slinger, 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Art is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years: Roberta (Denk) Slinger, 2nd wife of 13 years: Mary Ann (Lobdell) Slinger and a sister: Margaret Gentry. Visitation will be on Mon., August 26 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tues., Aug 27, 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
