Ann A Weddle

Ann A. Weddle of Carmel, IN, age 71, passed away on Friday, September 2, after being hospitalized for 35 days with viral pneumonia. She was born in Richmond, IN on April 19, 1951 to Andrew and Julia Hamilton.

Ann is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter Brittny Pierson, daughter Amanda Wilson (Daeron), stepson Brian Weddle (Stephanie), stepson Brandon Weddle, brother Patrick Hamilton (Debra), sister Victoria Wilson, and nine grandchildren, Delaney Weddle, Drew Weddle, Brady Weddle, Molly Weddle, Coral Pierson, Marcus Pierson, Courtney Methany, Jackie Weddle and Danzig Wilson.

Ann made the world a better place with her smile, her heart and her kindness. She and Bob were married for almost 22 incredibly happy years. She was his wife, his friend, his workout buddy, his support and his soulmate!

Grandma Annie (Grammy) loved her grandkids and with ages from 7 to 20, she related to them in a way that made each one feel special. Whether it was long mall shopping trips, driving 3 hours to see a track meet, spending a weekend watching soccer games, watching cheer or being at swim lessons, she loved it all. At Christmas she bought and wrapped 8 presents per grandchild!!

Ann started doing Pilates in her 50’s and was so into it, she got the necessary certifications to become an instructor and was still both taking and teaching Pilates at age 71! She so loved all her Pilates friends!

Ann was supportive and caring to many family and friends over the years. Whether her insightful guidance or contagious laugh, she could make even the most stressful situations better. Her unconditional love improved the lives of many people over the years.

A gathering of family and friends for Ann will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following the gathering, there will be a celebration of life service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill. Funeral Home, 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208.

In lieu of flowers, Ann's family asks that a donation be made to the contributions to St. Vincent Seton Hospital, in honor of the doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists that provided care to Ann. Their address is: 3454 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.
