Allen was born in Indianapolis to the late Homer and Helen Johns.He was a U.S Army veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge. Allen married Doris Warrenburg in Indianapolis in 1959.He worked as a logistics manager for the USPS and as a hobby coached bantam football in Greenwood for many years.Allen will be remembered for his love of gardening, his love of bantam football and most of all his great love for his family. Allen is survived by his loving wife Doris, sons; Michael(wife Vickie) Johns and David Johns,daughters; Brenda(Charles)Bales and Kathy Teeters, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.Friends may call on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. in Little and Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel.
