Alfred Douglas Hankins was born December 21, 1951 to Samuel Hankins Sr. and Rosene Steward (Hankins) in Thomasville, Georgia.
Alfred accepted Christ in his early years as a member of Bethel AME in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Alfred graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. After high school he attended ITT Technical Institute where he earned his Associates Degree in Electronics. He worked as an electrician in his early years and also as a manager at Autozone for over 25 years.
Alfred’s hobbies included karate, notably as one of the best karate instructor’s in the Midwest in the 1970s, and an avid skater where he loved to compete in both.
Alfred was devoted Son, Brother and Father, Friend, Instructor, Manager, and Companion. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music (especially old school music) and spending time with his family.
Alfred departed this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the age of 70 years and 4 months. He was preceded in death by his son, Alfred Lamont Hankins, his Father, Samuel Hankins Sr., and sister, Vanessa Lavonne Kiser.
Alfred leaves to cherish his memory His loving Family, His Mother, Rosene Hankins, brothers, Samuel and Nehemiah Hankins, sisters; Patricia Babbs, Deborah Hankins, stepson, Reggie Miller and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
