Obituary of Alexander Paul Peterson
Alexander Paul Peterson Alex passed away due to complications suffered following a devastating seizure. He was born in Indianapolis to John “Pete” Peterson and Julie Wilkinson Peterson. He was a graduate of North Central High School and IUPUI. Alex enjoyed spending time with his family, especially summer trips to Florida and Maine and visiting his brother John in Michigan. He was a devotee of anything anime, a passion he shared with his roommates, Thomas, Mariah, and Gebs. He was often wearing anime t-shirts and hats. He enjoyed video games and road trips with his friends. As a child he loved it when cousin Wendy would take him to Chuck E. Cheese and bowling, which he said he missed doing as an adult. After his father’s death in May 2020, Alex was a constant source of strength to his mother. A person of few words who didn’t express much emotion, Alex communicated using his infectious smile and dry sense of humor. He was uncommonly generous and his passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. Alex is survived by his mother, Julie; brother, John, grandparents, John and Nancy Peterson, niece, Hazel and nephew, William; cousins, Wendy, John Carter, Kristen, Gretchen, Peter, Sally and Molly; Aunts and Uncles, Debbie and Mark Midkiff, Penny and Randy Phillips, and Jeff and Debbie Wilkinson. Thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital for their many efforts in tending to Alex these past few weeks. Calling will be Friday, November 12, 2021 at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, with a service in the chapel beginning at 2:00 PM. A private family burial service will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alex’s memory may be made to the Heron Island Village Improvement Society, P.O.
