Grace Doreen Fleming

Grace Doreen Fleming, widow of Allan Fleming, born January 16, 1925, passed away in the Yorkton & District Care Home, Yorkton, SK., on Saturday, September 4, 2010, formerly of Indian Head, SK., age 85 years. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew’s United Church, Indian Head, SK., on Monday, September 13, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Suzanne Edgar officiating. Cremation with a private interment in the Indian Head Cemetery. Predeceased by her husband in 1971; two brothers Duke and Robert (Mona) Laidlaw and two sisters Margaret (Jim) Thompson and Lorna (Alex) Noble. Doreen is survived by her son Jack (Shirley) Fleming, Lethbridge, AB.; her grandsons Nathan Fleming, Stettler, AB. and Ryan Fleming, Saskatoon, SK. and one sister in law Edna Laidlaw, Grenfell, SK. Doreen is also survived by her nieces and nephews, cousins and their families. Doreen was born, raised and received her education in the Summerberry, SK. District. She and Allan moved to Indian Head in 1954 and she spent the next fifty years there. Doreen worked for many years, after Allan’s passing, as receptionist at the Indian Head Doctor Office.
