Harold D Edmonds, CLU, 84, of Indep. MO, passed away Jan. 2, 2015, at his home following a lengthy battle with COPD. Harold was born in Blue Mound, KS. He was a lifelong KC area resident growing up in Fairmount and graduating from Northeast High School in 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Pearl Edmonds, sister Alice Katherine, and son Kevin. Harold is survived by his children Debbie (Frank) Roberts and Tom Edmonds, their mother Alice Edmonds, and by his granddaughter Amy Torgerson, and great-grandchildren Paul, Alice, and Alex Schiffer. Harold is also survived by his cousins T.F. Edmonds and Rosalie (Jerry) Rowe and their families. Harold enjoyed a career as an insurance agent and sales manager. He was a private pilot. Harold was a member of the First Christian Church of Independence. Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 am, Services following at 11:00 am at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel, 509 S Noland Rd, Indep. MO.
