Tracey W. Viegas, 77, of Hyannis, passed away on October 8, 2024. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Manuel F. and Marjorie I. (Bostwick) Viegas. He was raised in Fairhaven and moved down to Cape Cod in the early 1960s.
He graduated from Barnstable High School in 1964 and worked in the family business as a commercial fisherman.
Tracey also served in the Navy.
He enjoyed building things even building a cat condominium in his backyard for the stray cats. He was an avid collector of shells and other items. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, NASCAR racing.
In addition to being predeceased by his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Stanley Viegas and his sister Marlene Viegas. He is survived by his brother Emanuel Viegas, his nephew Daniel Viegas, his nieces Bonnie Ryan and Heidi Hartman, his cousins David Reynolds and Cheryl Crosby and his former wife Pamela (Doane) Viegas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October, 17, 2024 from 2pm-4pm at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis. Burial will be private.
