79, of Barnstable and Boynton Beach, Florida, on July 17th, 2013. Loving husband for 58 years of Ruth (Shmase) Cutler. Cherished father of David and his partner Jim Ovens of Dallas, Texas, and Carole and her husband David Rubin of Arlington, Massachusetts. Adoring grandfather of Lilia and Jacob Rubin. Brother of Phyllis Peckerman and her husband Jerry of Peabody, Massachusetts. Brother-in-law of Fred and Honey Shmase of Middleton, Massachusetts.

Sidney, an avid traveler and loyal Red Sox fan, lived life to its fullest. He fought a courageous battle against cancer for many years, always with a positive attitude, enabling him to gain and share the gift of extra time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 21st at 11 a.m. at Congregation Sons of Israel, Spring Street, Peabody, Massachusetts (www.peabodyshul.org/directions.html). Interment will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your preferred cancer research fund.
