Julie Ann Tirinnanzi passed peacefully in the early hours of July 5th, 2024. Though our hearts are heavy we find comfort knowing she is now with her late husband, Peter Tirinannzi and her beloved Goldens, Marble, Tetley, and Ty.
Julie was a small woman with a large spirit. Ambitious and intelligent she became a nurse at age 20. Julie worked in many fields of nursing, including: geriatric care, veterans of war, special needs children and incarcerated populations. Julie was a caretaker at heart. If a family member needed tending to Julie was at their side or even caretaking them in her own home.
In the 70’s, while living in Maryland, Julie was blessed with two sons, Mark and Michael. The term boy-mom wasn’t a common then, but that’s exactly what Julie was. If she wasn’t at work she was driving the boys to hockey practice, or having to contend with loud heavy metal music. Julie was both breadwinner and caretaker which goes to show the strength and fortitude she possessed.
Julie was also an artist and quite talented at painting. She had a love for poetry and a great sense of humor. Julie encouraged both her sons to pursue careers that would fulfill them and they both have found success from her encouraging foundation.
In the 1995 Julie married the love of her life, Peter Tirinnazi. They shared a love of dancing and Julie was swept off her feet. Julie and Peter also bonded over their love for Golden Retrievers. They raised and dotted on three beloved Golden’s together, Marble, Tetley and Ty. They also turned their love into action and become supporters of cancer research for Goldens. Julie and Peter shared 21 earthly years together, before Peter passed away in 2016.
Julie is survived by her sons, Mark Sonn (Jennifer) and Michael Sonn (Kathleen). Julie was proud to be the grandmother of 6 beautiful grandchildren Ryan, Stephanie, Marina, Martin, Joaquin and Michael. Julie is also survived by her last Golden best friend, Dolly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main St., Centerville. Committal prayers will follow at 1:30 PM at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
