Mrs. Betty Jane Brennan

Betty Jane Brennan, 87, of Centerville died at home June 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Jack Brennan to whom she shared 59 of marriage. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Benger of Bellingham and Bonnie (and husband Robert) Wenger of Centerville. Also survived by five grandchildren, Jennifer Narducci and her husband Michael of Medway, Matthew Benger and his wife Kristine of Webster and Kristen, Robert, and Jonathan Wenger of Windsor, CT. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Andrew Narducci.

Raised in Worcester, Betty graduated from Hillcrest Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsfield MA. Betty relocated to Eastham shortly after graduation and settled in Centerville upon marriage. She was a nurse at Cape Cod Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Ethel Barton Nurses Group of Cape Cod.

Betty’s family thanks the outstanding support of Tina Everson and her team of the VNA Hospice for their expertise and vocation to their calling. The VNA team members became dear friends of Betty. It is with their commitment and dedication to their calling that allowed her to remain at home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 15th at her home, 810 Strawberry Hill Road, Centerville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory can be made to VNA Hospice, 434 Route 134, Suite D-3, South Dennis, MA 02660 or COMM Rescue, Centerville, MA.
