Thelma Cross Lynch

November 6, 1929 - June 19, 2014

Thelma C. Lynch passed away on June 19, 2014 at the hospital, surrounded by her family, at the age of 84. Thelma was born in Blountville, TN on November 6, 1929 and she and her husband of 58 years settled in Huntsville in 1966. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Thelma retired from Chrysler Corporation after 20 years. She helped care for her grandchildren when they were babies and continued to play an active role in their lives. She is survived by her husband Patrick and their five children, daughter Maureen Gordon and husband Mike, daughter Ramona Johnson and husband Vess, son Stanley Lynch, daughter Paula Williams and husband Phil, and son Burton Lynch. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Shaun and Ryan Gordon, Aaron, Daniel, and Jessica Petersen, Sean and Stephanie Johnson, Shannon and Kate Williams, and Ailish, Kathleen, and Emma Lynch. Her funeral service will be on Monday, June 23, at 12:00 at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church of Huntsville on Shady Lane. There will be a visitation on Sunday afternoon, June 22, from 3-6 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Outreach Ministries of Alabama (P.O.
