Nellie "Jean" Walker

Jean Walker, 83, of Huntsville passed away Thursday. Jean was the daughter of Norman and Nellie Barrett of Athens, GA.

She graduated from the Georgia School for the Deaf. Jean was a member of West Huntsville Church of Christ.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ken Walker, and daughter, Tammy Walker.

Survivors include brother, Buddy Barrett (Janie) of Gray, GA; sons, Tim Walker (Jackie) of Huntsville, Melvin Walker (Belinda) of Chelsea, AL; Daughter, Sheila Walker (Mike) of Huntsville; Grandchildren, Bryan Christa (Amber), Joseph Christa, Michael Christa, Brittany Newton (Brian), Justin Walker, Ashley Walker, Zach Killian, Emily Walker, Hannah Walker, Megan Vaughn (Steven), Gracie Walker, Olivia Walker and Zoe Walker. Great-Grandchildren, Seth, Jordan, Gabe, Dom, Campbell “Cam”, Colton, Parker, Aiden and Macon.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am in Valhalla’s Chapel. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
