Mrs. Marianne Lacker Hutzler, 97, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on October 12th, 2024 in Daphne, Alabama. Marianne was born in Stuttgart Germany on May 5, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Hutzler, and her great-grandson Devon Andrew Malloy.
Left to honor her memory are her children; Barbara Malloy, Harold Hutzler (Kathy), Janet Anderson (Paul), Richard Hutzler (Karen), and Evelyn Pope (Mathew), her grandchildren; Dan Malloy (Jodi), Katherine Malloy, Amanda Hutzler Cochran (Keith), Shauna Hutzler DeLorme (Mac), Christopher Anderson (Sabrina), Nicholas Anderson (Rebecca), Macy Pope, and Erin Pope, along with 7 great grandchildren, two sisters; Lotte Bentley and Rose Steinheil, and several nieces and nephews.
Marianne came to the United States in 1954 as a young bride. She became a naturalized citizen in 1958 while raising their growing family. She was a wife, mother, and dedicated homemaker with many talents and interests. She loved flowers, exercise, travel, and church activities. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was a great hostess. After her widowhood in 1993, she continued to live independently for almost 30 years, having many friends and experiences. When she could no longer visit others easily, she liked nothing more than having company and someone to talk to, especially about flowers.
You may visit with the family on October 19th, 2024 from 10AM - 11AM at Valhalla Funeral Home, located at 698 Winchester Rd. NE, Huntsville, AL 35811. A funeral service, officiated by Deacon Mathew Pope, will follow at 11AM. Marianne’s final resting place will be in The Garden of Everlasting Life.
