Laverne J. Slagle

LaVerne Ellmyra Slagle passed away on Saturday Sept 3 2022, age 79. She was born on July 10, 1943 in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of Jack John Johnson and Wanda Regina Juczak. She had seen many events in her life, and she had a great many hobbies and interests. On November 12, 1963 she Married a soldier by the name of Donald W Slagle. Together they traveled the world and finally settled down in a little town that was Huntsville AL. They both lived together and watched the town grow as they raised their family for more than 4 decades. She had enjoyed pottery, painting, cross-stitch, sewing, embroidery, bowling, reading and several other activities. She had been a member of several organizations such as red hats, and many different bowling leagues over the years. She is Survived by Donald W Slagle (husband of 58 years), Natalie S Slagle (Daughter), Michael S Slagle (Son), Haley A Slagle (Grand Daughter), Jake A Slagle (Grandson), and other relatives.

Visitation for Laverne will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
